Mobile Home(less)

Habitare 2017 discusses the concept of home from the points of view of homelessness and refugehood. Artist Anssi Pulkkinen’s contemporary art work Street View (Reassembled) will make its debut appearance in Finland at Habitare’s hall 2.

The work is made of rubble transported from Syria, commenting on the theme of tomorrow’s home from the perspectives of homelessness and refugehood in a very concrete and symbolical way.

The work of art is commissioned by the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux and part of the Finnish cultural institutes’ Mobile Home 2017 project. Habitare, The Ministry of Education and Culture, Saastamoinen Foundation, SuomiFinland100 and Finnish-Syrian Solidarity Association have supported the work.
