Habitare Neighbours
In the autumn of 2024, Habitare will feature a new Habitare Neighbours theme area. Designed and curated by Ulla Koskinen and Anna Pirkola, the Neighbours area will include an exhibition and a residential block, which presents exciting companies in the industry.
The media partner of Habitare Neighbours is Asun magazine.
Habitare, the leading furniture, design and interior decoration event in Finland, will be held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 11 to 15 September 2024.
The Neighbours theme exhibition
The Neighbours theme exhibition covers today’s design and materials, as well as various topics related to homes, interior decoration, and construction. The exhibition provides an opportunity to discuss how the age of residents and their life situations are reflected in homes, and whether the various layers of homes are related to age or something else. It also enables us to discuss ownership: what needs to be privately owned and what can be shared.
The residential block
The partners of Habitare Neighbours present themselves at their own stands in the residential block. The area features a common yard, at the other end of which you can find the common spaces for the residents. The yard area between the buildings is complemented by a large table that people can gather around for discussions and exchanges, workshops, and encounters. The yard area also serves as one of the Habitare fair’s mini arenas.

Habitare Neighbours participation includes participation in a curated Neighbours exhibition and at the company’s choice, either a light kiosk near the theme area or a stand in the Neighbours area.
Companies participating in the Neighbours theme area will be visible during the event through the themed area’s list of businesses, on the Neighbours page of Habitare.fi, as well as in the area’s marketing and communications.

The stands contain the following:
- Exhibition space
- Partition walls, 3 m high (can be painted in the desired shade).
- Truss lighting
- Lockable storage space in the exhibition space
- 1 electric socket + electricity consumption at the stand during the event
- Publicity and environmental fee
- Logo, flooring material, hanging points and additional sockets to be ordered separately at extra cost. There is no separate charge for the start of the exhibition.

Kiosk spaces are a few square meters in size, lightly branded meeting spots for company representatives near the theme area. The kiosk can also be left unstaffed if desired.
The kiosk spaces include two 1-meter-wide and 3-meter-tall wall surfaces, spot lighting, and a light counter. Instructions for decorating the kiosk will be provided by the area’s curators.
