Strömfors foundry
Strömfors foundry is today a tourist attraction where history meets modernity. The path of quality design at the foundry still continues through the Seppämestari and an architectural firm specialising in the history of architecture. In the restoration of this year’s Kankivasarapaja into a new restaurant, the history of design at Strömfors pottery was honoured by keeping Tapio Wirkkala’s lamps in use and commissioning new plastic covers for them.

Artek summer exhibiton
AGE WITH GRACE exhibition. Artek Helsinki 29.5.-31.8.2024
The Age with Grace exhibition is about the timeless beauty, durability and longevity of Artek products. The exhibition focuses on furniture care and maintenance: tips and tricks, services and available spare parts. The Artek 2nd Cycle products on display at the exhibition are a testament to the long life cycle of a design classic.
The Finnish Glass Museum
The Finnish Glass Museum is a treasure trove for glass lovers, presenting a comprehensive overview of the glass industry from history to the present day in a setting designed by Tapio Wirkkala. Changing exhibitions showcase international and Finnish glass art and design from around the world. This summer’s exhibitions include Laura Laine – Nature Morte and Idyll – Art by Inkeri Toikka, as well as recent acquisitions to the collection.
The Kirpilä Art Collection
Located in a former private home in Töölö, the Kirpilä Art Collection is a unique art museum that presents a passionate art lover’s collection and provides a glimpse into the life of well-to-do Helsinkians in the 1980s. The museum is housed in the penthouse apartment that was the home of rheumatologist Juhani Kirpilä (1931–1988) and his partner, antiques dealer Karl Rosenqvist. It spans nearly 350 square meters on the top floor of a functionalist building

Paimio Sanatorium
Paimio Sanatorium is an internationally renowned masterpiece of functionalist architecture designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto. In the coming summer season, the sanatorium area will be brought to life with a unique combination of culture and experiences. One of the highlights of the summer will be the new Retreat Rooms in the main building of the sanatorium, restored for accommodation.
Vihannonkulma Timberwise House
Hotel Vihannonkulma, which also serves as Timberwise House, presents the products of the Finnish parquet manufacturer in several different formats. Anna-Kaisa Melvas has designed stunning and individual hotel rooms. The hotel is located in Loimaa, Southwest Finland. The beautiful building, which has lain dormant for almost 20 years as the private home of businessman Olli Vihanto and the Vihanto Oy car dealership, has now sprung back to life.

Kyrö Distillery
Kyrö Visitor Centre is located in the picturesque village of Isossakyrö, on the banks of the gently cascading Kyrönjoki. The adventure, which began on the benches of Kyrö Distillery’s sauna, is a unique story of daring and dreams come true, which you can immerse yourself in during an hour-long distillery tour. If you wish, you can continue with the taste sensations after the tour and enjoy a tasting. A guesthouse called Kyrötalo, located in the distillery’s courtyard, offers accommodation for up to 10 people.
Kotilaituri
Kotilaituri is an interior design shop in Hanko that combines old and new, born out of a love for Nordic-inspired interior design. The range consists of rugs, interior textiles and accessories, crockery, pots, baskets, cosmetics and a small sprinkling of changing lifestyle products. The vintage range consists of carefully selected 50s-80s furniture, lamps, mirrors, paintings, textiles, furnishings and tableware.
