Bolon, Cinemafix, Genelec, and Kino Konepaja are teaming up to bring something unprecedented to Habitare: a movie theater right in the middle of the exhibition hall. The space combines a theater, a lounge, and a bar: you can grab a drink and some popcorn, linger for a while in the relaxed lounge area, or settle in to watch Finnish short films right in the heart of the fair.

Plot Twist x Hakola Pause Lounge – Welcome to Relax

Her guidance combines a warm presence with a practical approach to recovery.

At the Habitare fair, Sirpa invites you to take a momentary break from the hustle and bustle of the fair and gently settle into a peaceful state in the Pause Lounge. Advance registration is required for the meditation sessions, and the first seven people to register will be admitted.

Plot Twist x Asko – Comeback Catwalk

Asko, a beloved brand that has been part of everyday life and homes in Finland for over a century, is making a comeback on the catwalk with its iconic Harlequin chairs.

A new chapter has begun for Asko. The same familiar name, a fresh approach. We create homes for Finns that feel like their own. Finland’s oldest furniture chain is making a comeback with new stores, and we’re also showcasing the new Asko at the Habitare fair. A home is built on choices—colors, materials, shapes, and the little details that say something about you. Asko understands Finnish homes, preferences, and life situations. The collection is designed with these in mind: furniture and home decor that fits today’s everyday life and feels like home.

Plot Twist x Tunement x Genelec x Konto – Black Box

Black Box combines Konto Class A peat acoustic panels and Karvelour acoustic curtains. The natural-fiber panels effectively dampen mid-frequencies, and the curtains reduce reflections with Class C–D absorption. The system demonstrates how different materials function acoustically.

Black Box showcases an acoustic system combining two materials: Konto peat acoustic panels and Karvelour acoustic curtains. The Class A absorption, M1 classification, and Fire Class B rating of Konto panels provide effective sound absorption on walls and ceilings. The Class C–D acoustic performance of Karvelour’s Pagunette Taylor and Cairo curtains reduces high-frequency reflections and softens the sound in the space. This combination demonstrates how a natural-fiber panel and a tightly woven curtain fabric function across different frequency ranges to create an effective acoustic solution.

Plot Twist x Metsä Skogen – KÄPY Metsästudio

KÄPY Metsästudio—a small, intimate space that provides a safe haven for conversations and new ideas.

Käpy Metsästudio is designed for 1–3 people, and its natural furnishings, elements, colors, and textures create a peaceful and cozy atmosphere. The design furniture at KÄPY Metsästudio is made from Finnish spruce. According to research, green elements and nature imagery promote well-being and relaxation, creating a natural ambiance in the space.

Since we can’t always get out into nature, nature can come to us. We make that possible. Welcome to the forest with us.

We live in a world where work constantly demands more from us. That’s why we at Metsä/Skogen want to offer something different as a counterbalance: a space to breathe and pause, an opportunity to strengthen our connection to ourselves and nature, and an environment where a safe and calming atmosphere sets the stage for meaningful encounters. We build Forest Modules™ that have been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve concentration, and clarify thinking. It’s not just about comfort—it’s about increasing performance and productivity. Recovery in nature begins within minutes. Now it’s part of the workday.

Summer, Winter, Archipelago, and Children’s Siimes, as well as a solution designed for those with heightened sensory sensitivity, can be quickly implemented in a room or space within a facility.

We also implement multisensory nature-inspired designs for a wide variety of spaces.

Plot Twist x Nordic Quarters Showcase

What does a chair look like—and how does it feel when you sit in it and hear its story? The Nordic Quarters Showcase invites you to view seven Finnish designs from a new perspective. The collection features Made By Choice’s Kolho Chair, Boardwalk’s Block Stool, Artek’s Armchair 41 “Paimio,” Eero Aarnio Originals’ Ball Chair, Geberit/IDO Arabia’s IDO 59, Vaarni’s 001 Dining Chair, and Martela’s Kilta Chair. Behind these chairs lie stories, intended uses, and design solutions that may not be immediately apparent at first glance.

Take a seat, put on your headphones, and listen to the chair’s story. The audio offers insight into why each chair was originally designed exactly as it is—and may completely turn your first impression on its head. A “plot twist” is often only revealed when you look beyond the surface of a design.
