Green Imperative
The name of this exhibition pays tribute to Victor Papanek, an early advocate of ecological design. Papanek is known for his critical attitude towards consumerism. He called on designers to gain a better understanding of the things they design and to avoid anything unnecessary or superfluous in the design process. One of Papanek’s best-known publications is The Green Imperative, published in 1995, which examines the designer’s responsibility towards the environment and society.

This exhibition presents bold and innovative product concepts developed by Design students, enabling the cultivation of useful plants through hydroponics in the home environment. The aim has been to achieve functional, user-friendly, and durable design that stands the test of time.
