At the ikimakee booth, you can be amazed, but also relax amid the hustle and bustle of the Habitare fair. You can also find us at Habitare Pro as part of “The House That Finland Built” installation, as well as in the Suomi Lounge. ikimakee Oy is a Finnish joint venture founded by four creatives. We manufacture modular sofas with removable covers for a variety of uses. We also create custom sofas and carry out restorations according to our customers’ wishes. Our products are developed, designed, and manufactured as a team in Helsinki, drawing on each member’s unique skills as a carpenter, upholsterer, salesperson, and creative designer. At the heart of our products are comfort, functionality, and durability—key qualities for furniture suitable for both private homes and public spaces.
ikimakee Oy is a joint Finnish venture founded by four creative professionals, which we boldly established in 2024 after our shared employer unexpectedly ceased operations. Our production facilities are located in Hakaniemi, Helsinki, where we work as a team to develop, design, and manufacture modular sofas for a variety of uses. In addition to their modular design, our sofas feature removable covers that extend the product’s lifespan, offer flexibility, and encourage for imaginative interior design. In addition we build custom-made sofas and restore existing pieces according to our customers’ wishes, drawing on the unique skills of each team member as a carpenter, upholsterer, and creative designer. As a young company, it’s important for us to grow our business into a workplace where everyone can shine with their skills and where the work is demanding but fun!

We’ve participated in the Habitare fair twice already. In our founding year, 2024, we went around sharing the story of our new beginnings, and last year we built a sofa installation that showcased our latest sofa bed. This year, we’re participating for the first time at the official ikimakee exhibition booth, where we’ve planned something completely new and positively unprecedented! In addition to the exhibition booth, you’ll find us at Habitare Pro as part of “The House That Finland Built” installation, as well as in the Suomi Lounge.
