Habitare, the leading furniture, design and interiors event in the Nordics, will be held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 11 to 15 September 2024.

Habitare showcases everything current in the fields of design and spatial design, sparking discussions – good design, good homes and a functional environment. The Habitare 2024 theme is Layers. The theme treasures and explores the layered and lived-in feel of homes, spaces and objects. It reminds us of the cyclicity of design, the revival of styles, and how old and new exist side by side every moment.

HABITARE KEY FIGURES 2024

Habitare is located in halls 3, 6, and 7.

Habitare Pro programme is located in hall 6 and is open throughout the event.

Habitare has three stages: main stage and theme stage / hall 6, and stage / hall 3. The stages will be hosted by Jani Toivola, Ida and Isa Kukkapuro, and Eeva Kolu.

NEW IN HABITARE

The area provides an opportunity to explore the diversity of homes and different ways of everyday living.

Theme area – hall 6
Design studio Yatofu, by Angela Lindahl and Yihan Xiang, highlights Habitare 2024’s Layers theme by revealing different layers of design: processes and craftsmanship alongside finished products. The exhibition will include a themed stage with discussions throughout the event, led by Ida and Isa Kukkapuro.
Habitare Neighbours area – hall 6
Habitare will feature a new Habitare Neighbours theme area. Designed and curated by Ulla Koskinen and Anna Pirkola, the Neighbours area will include an exhibition and a residential block, which presents exciting companies in the industry. The area provides an opportunity to explore the diversity of homes and different ways of everyday living. Habitare Choice: New workshop area – hall 6
The Habitare Choice area, curated by interior stylist Susanna Vento, showcases companies that have taken steps towards sustainability. The new workshop area features workshops such as scent and waste flower arrangements.
Habitare Pro: New theme days and workshops – hall 6
Habitare’s professional platform continues to grow and is seen as broader than before. Habitare Pro Lounge will host an international programme of themed days and workshops throughout the event.
Showrooms Habitare x Helsinki Design Week -event
The event is open to everyone and 37 companies will showcase their products and services to industry professionals and the general public interested in design at their showrooms in central Helsinki from 11 to 15 September 2024.
