SHAMAL is a Finnish material practice working through fragrance, objects, archives and sensory research. The name means 'north' in Arabic, reflecting a dialogue between Nordic landscapes and the aromatic, material and cultural traditions of North Africa and West Asia.

For SHAMAL, scent is a material of the interior: it shapes how a room feels and how it is remembered. At Habitare, we present The Nordic Seasons, an atmosphere collection built on ordinary moments. The forest after rain. The crossing from cold into warmth. Spring at the mökki. The löyly of midsummer. Alongside the fragrances, we introduce our first ritual objects: handcrafted burners, oils and curated resins from the Lohja workshop and the Helsinki laboratory.

Objects made to carry a memory. Luxury is attention.
